I purchased this house after being in an apartment for 7 years. I figured it was time for me to buy my own place and when I saw this house, I fell in love with it! My favorite part of the house is the kitchen. I liked that it has the open concept and has a lot of storage. I also love the family room and the gas stove fireplace. When I moved into this house, I noticed that my lawn has been nicely trimmed. I learned that my 86 year old neighbor, Red has been mowing my lawn for 6 weeks. He and his wife has welcomed me openly into the neighborhood and showed me so much kindness and support. Red taught me how operate the lawnmower, the weedwacker and how to garden. Mary has showed me some of her recipes and shared with me her delicious baked goods. They have also overlooked the house when I was away or went on vacation. I am blessed to have such wonderful neighbors and they are very dear to me! I have also met other neighbors who have been very friendly and many enjoy walking their dogs.

What I love about this house is the location:

It is very close to the SUNY Albany campus . During the summer months I like to ride my bike there or take walks with my mom when she comes to visit. I also have a favorite coffee shop, Uncommon Grounds which is walking distance from the house. I have spent many hours studying there and the coffee is phenomenal. Stuyvesant Plaza is only 2 miles away and there are tons of shops including Chico’s, White House Black Market, and Jos. A. Bank. If you’re looking for a great place to eat, the plaza has Blaze Pizza (the fastest pizza you’ve ever ordered), Bruegerrs Bagels, Cold Stone Creamery, Chipotle, and so much more! A post office and a bookstore make the Stuyvesent Plaza complete, creating a fantastic 1 stop shop for all your needs! Crossgates Mall is located 5 minutes away,  and to get to the thruway only takes 2 minutes. I love that this house is very convenient to everything!
